Back to blogging!

Yep, even though I've not done this in a while, I'm jumping back in ... realizing that good communication is of utmost importance in any healthy church family. I really am committed to seeing Community Presbyterian Church "re-plant" itself in the community of Moody and reach many, many new young families with the good news of Jesus Christ. I pray that you'll join me in praying that God's Spirit will go before us and then boldly use us to proclaim Christ to this community through our words and deeds. We're finished with the "consumer" mindset of Christianity ... i.e. "what does the church have to offer me? what specials are they running this week? how will I benefit from attending there? etc." We are a people sent to a fallen world to proclaim, in word and deed, the amazing grace of our Lord Jesus! Let's get on with that business. Walk with me on this journey! Burt
